About Lossiemouth:

Set at the mouth of the River Lossie on the beautiful north east coast of Scotland on the southern shore of the Moray Firth. Steeped in history, Lossiemouth’s most famous resident being Ramsay MacDonald the first Labour Prime Minister, was born 12th October 1866. The town is also home to RAF Lossiemouth, one of the main operating bases of the RAF.

The town of Lossiemouth has much to offer. Moray Golf Club situated at the West Beach is a regular venue for golf tournaments and offers the choice of two golf courses. The West Beach is also very popular for those wishing to take in the Northern Lights. The Old classic Links course designed by Tom Morris in 1889 in addition, the new precision golf course which was designed by Henry Cotton in 1979. The west beach itself, stretches over 3 miles and plays host to the Covesea Lighthouse. This is now a visitor attraction open to the public during the summer months and from the top you can enjoy spectacular views for miles around. Lossiemouth also offers a 115-berth marina, from where you can take boat rides dolphin spotting. Surfing and sea fishing are also regular pursuits. Lossiemouth is of course set right in the heart of the famous whiskey trails too. Lossiemouth offers a choice of two primary schools, these being Hythehill Primary School and St Gerardine Primary School. For secondary school children there is Lossiemouth High School.
